Information about U3A Godley

Programme. We usually have six Series each year with five lectures in each and an optional catered $10.00 lunch after the fifth lecture

Venue: St Marks Church, 150 Withells Road, Avonhead, Christchurch.

Time: Mondays 10am - 10.15am for a cup of tea or coffee.

We have accepted a number of new members this year. They have a green stripe on their name badges so you can identify them and make them welcome!

A newsletter email is sent to all members before each series with subjects and speakers for the lectures. Recent newsletters can be seen at here.

A Christmas function, (e.g. at a vineyard) with AGM is held at the end if each year.

Interest groups

U3A Godley has several interest groups. These smaller groups are seen as a way of getting to know other members easily. They are run by enthusiasts who are not necessarily committee members. If none of the existing groups cater for your particular interest then we are eager to support you setting up a new group.

Details of existing groups (Art Appreciation, Book Discussion, Cycling, Mah Jong, Movie, Music, Scrabble, TED Talks, Walking, Write a Story) are found Godley interest groups
